Can i re-freeze fish that was de frosted?

I bought some fish yesterday from the supermarket (halibut) it was in a sealed packet and was totally thawed ready to be grilled, but i didn't need it until today, so i stuck it in freezer, when i took it out to defrost, i noticed it said on pack (has already been frozen then defrosted do not re-freeze) will it still be ok to eat after i mistakenly froze it, i hope so it cost a fortune, Thanks
