What do you think about these new car features?

Admittedly I haven't done my research on how exactly these features work, but I recently saw a car commercial that showed extra features. For example the car would stop itself if you were distracted or correct the steering if you strayed into another lane. Am I the only one that is freaked out a little by these features? I trust myself far more than I trust a computer. What if I'm straying into another lane on purpose because someone is cutting me off? I'm interested to see if any of y'all have other information about these features, or opinions about them.
