How do I get my video's from Quicktime to Windows Media so i can edit them?

My camera saves all my videos to Quicktime. But i cant edit my videos in Quicktime. So i need it in Windows Media Player where i can edit them in Windows Movie Maker. But it wont let me move them to Media Player. I need this to happen soon because I am doing this all for school and I am a two day drive from home ( VT to TX) so S.O.S
