Have an 89 Olds. Car keeps dying when I stop. Any ideas?

2 weeks agoI filled up at a Citgo station & this started happening. I used a bottle of fuel system additive when I filled up yesterday so it would clean the injectors too. but the car still keeps dying out when I step on the brake. It also has developed a terrible shifting problem. What am I looking for the problem to be?
