Help with lip piercing aftercare please?

I brush my teeth 3 times a day (after every meal) and I use mouthwash (Dentyl) and salty water. I clean the outside hole with a cotton bud soaked in salty water and then place a cotton ball soaked in salty water over the outer hole for a minute. I use hand sanitizer before and after doing this. I am not sure if this is the right thing to do as the piercer just told me to use salty water. What are the chances of getting an infection using my regimen, and is there anything else I can do to keep the area clean? Oh and also, is H2Ocean available in the UK? If not, what else can I use?
