Have you seen The play "Wicked"!?

I saw Wicked in LA in November. I really enjoyed it. If you're a Wizard of OZ fan, I think it would be worth the trip. I got a huge discount on tickets through Amex gold card. The regular $100 orchestra seats were $65. I'm not sure what the prices in Frisco are like. But for the both of you to fly out, get a room, and see the show, it would probably be good to have at least $500 set aside for that
